I received the following email from Terri Livers today and thought it may be of help to our fellow members wanting to stop smoking. I do not know anything personally about this program, but there is a number to call and ask questions. To all, Starting February 15th at 7:00pm the Lyndon Fire Department will be hosting a Cooper/Clayton Method smoking cessation course sponsored by Metro Public Health and Wellness. It is a 13 week course instructed by Lyndon Fire’s Derek Andriakos. All course materials, including smoking patches and gum, are provided free of charge. Classes will last approximately 1 hour. Fire service members and their families are encouraged to attend this free opportunity. You can call Metro Public Health Smoking Cessation at 502-574-STOP(7867) with any questions about the class and materials. You can also contact me at 502-376-1775 for any further information. You can also sign up for the course on the first night of class on February 15th prior to the 7:00pm start. I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to better your health or that of a loved one. We look forward to seeing you.
